AA Corrections Opportunities in District 11

1.  At present, there are a number of correctional opportunities available in District 11, specifically Cole County.

 

2. The Cole County Jail allows for AA discussion on the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th Saturday morning of each month @ 10:00 A.M. Also, on the 1st, 2nd, and 4th Saturday evening of each month @ 7:00 P.M.

 

3. There are AA correctional opportunities at the Algoa Correctional Center and Jefferson City Correctional Center.

 

4. You may arrange with the Corrections Chair to visit these facilities and see firsthand how AA reaches out to those who are confined and may be in need of AA.

 

There are AA Guidelines that cover AA work in correctional facilities as well as institutional rules for each respective facility. As part of AA’s commitment to carry the message, those alcoholics who are incarcerated can benefit immensely from one AA sharing with another AA.
